Accessibility Statement Wunderland Kalkar

Wunderland Kalkar is committed to making the website wunderlandkalkar.eu accessible to everyone. We strive to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, as required under the Dutch Digital Accessibility Act.

Current Status

The website is currently partially accessible. An assessment of 35 representative pages (including hotel, arrangements, attractions, events, checkout, FAQ, privacy and legal pages) identified the following issues:
Images: missing or incorrect alt text.

• Color contrast: insufficient for texts and buttons.
• Keyboard navigation: focus not always visible or logical.
• Structure: headings and semantics inconsistent.
• Forms: checkout and contact not fully labeled; error messages not accessible.
• Maps and plans: no accessible descriptions provided.
• Language: mix of NL, DE and EN confuses screen readers.

Wunderland Kalkar will implement the following improvements:

1. Add and correct alt text.
2. Improve color contrast.

4. Ensure visible keyboard focus and logical navigation order.
